Hi Gurus,
we are implementing an ERP integration for our CRM system soon and facing some basic questions. The CRM system only is a service system but sales character item categories exist (used to sell something to a customer). But those have not been customizied different than normal spare parts items in our documents (e.g. service confirmation).
The first question mark we have: Can we properly set up the logistics integration even if we do not have sales document item categories used in CRM. Technically we did not use an item category from a sales bus type.
The next question is that the SAP help confuses me a little bit for the documenation of the possible logistics scenarios. Will it be possible to have material movement based on CRM in ERP and as well material withdraw?
In CRM we have Logistics integration customizing: Define transfer parameters for goods movement:
Accoroding to the Best Practice guide this customizing can be done without a BADI implementation. Is this customizing only used to make a goods movement from plant and storage location A to B? Are there any resctictions for item category bus type we enter in CRM for this mapping?
On ERP side we have the logistics integration customizing: Create and change logistics scenario for material withdraw:
If we have a pure material withdraw scenario only would it be possible to have this customizing done alone? or is there a combination of both customizing points mentioned needed to have a working scenario?
Regards.
