ERP CS to CRM integration scenarios

Hi All,

 

I have a particular request to integrate the Service Notification from CS in ERP into the Service Request in CRM 7. I am not familiar with this particular type of integration and would greatly appreciate if you can offer some leads where I can find a confirmation that this scenario would be possible.

 

The proposed scenario/constraints are the following:

 

  • The users are currently and will continue to use CS in ERP and will create both Service Notifications and Service Orders within CS.
  • The users intend on replicating the Service Notification into CRM (not Service Order) to a standard object (i.e. Complaint, or Service Request)
  • The users would keep CS as the lead system for these transactions, but another business unit would be using the service process in CRM and intend on replicating the service notification header data back and forth.

 

My questions:

  • What object in CRM would be the equivalent object for the CS Service notification in ERP. My assumption is the Service Request?
  • What type of limitations would there be between Service Request and Service Notification?
  • Is there a standard integration scenario for this type of use case?
